Offer to Help #notadoctor
I was reminded today that far too often, people wait until something tragic happens to get themselves help. I want to change that. If you only read this far, feel alone & are struggling with something, please message me. Contact me and I will help you get the help you need.
I am not a therapist. I am not a doctor. Hell, I don't even have a college degree.
I am human. I do realize A LOT of people are struggling with life and challenges alone.
Drug addiction, mental illness, trauma, alcohol abuse.
I also recognize this needs to change.
We all have different reasons for not reaching out. Shame, fear of being exposed or vulnerable, fear of becoming a burden on someone. Maybe you reached out before and it did not turn out so well. Maybe your struggle is so secret, no one else knows. No matter WHY you are in the situation you are in to feel so alone, please know YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
I am here. I am asking you to please reach out and I will figure out how to get you the help you need.
Y'all...We deserve to be happy. We deserve to be our BeSt SeLvEs. YOU deserve to get the help you need to be able to be happy.
There is no one in this world that is YOU. THAT is how special you are. Let me say it again for the people in the back---
YOU ARE FUCKING SPECIAL.
YOU DESERVE TO BE TRULY HAPPY!!!
Life does not come with a manual on how to deal. Nor does life come with unlimited (or any) counseling sessions or classes to teach you how to deal in a healthy way. So, we learn to deal however we do. Normally taught by those around us and how they deal. All of these coping mechanisms are not healthy. They seemingly work for us. Most unhealthy coping mechanisms are only temporary though, so they become bad habits we practice to continually trick ourselves into "feeling better". They stop working, but we hardly notice as now they are part of our daily lives and simply "what we do". They are what we do when we feel those negative emotions. The hurt. The anger. The sadness. By adulthood, they are habits, so it turns into what we do not only when we are sad, mad and hurt, but also when we are happy, celebrating or even bored.
I'm here to tell you there are better ways! Do I know all of them? No, not even a fraction, but I am learning some and they are positively life-changing.
I had a friend reach out to me today and simply text: "I need help. I don't know where to start." I dug deeper and asked a few more specific questions and help direct them to how to get the help they want and need. All I did was a quick search and I provided them with a place and phone number.
~*Was it scary for that person to reach out and ask me for help?
I am 100% sure that answer is Yes.
~Did I feel they were weak, shameful or stupid for telling me their problems and asking for help?
ABSOLUTELY NOT.
~What DO I feel about that person?
So freaking proud. So very thankful they felt comfortable enough with me to ask for help. I am in awe of their strength and bravery to not only admit to themself they need help, but to also reach out when they had no clue how to get the help they need.
***To that person (you know who you are): You are such an amazing person and I have your back 150%***
To Everyone Else: Reach out! Ask for help! It does not have to be through me. I know less than John Snow, but I am here. I am able and willing. And I vow to help you find the help you need.
~Be well,
Sarah

My bi-annual update
So...here we are again! Only a couple years from last blog... Anyways...
I currently have a 2 year old for sale that screams when he goes to bed. Price is negotiable. (He is screaming as we speak).
Also, I have a 4 year old & a 9 year old. Holy crap. How did THAT happen?!
I am working on a financial plan to start a business. Slow and steady because when you have no money, that's how it goes. More to come on that in the future.
Life is good, although "ordinary" comes to mind. Husband and I have no days off together (normal), but I have weekends off with the kids, so that's good. Jack (9), is smart as a whip. Has a part in the school play (9 lines), so that's exciting. Jess jr (4), is fully potty trained, he did it all himself at 3. And he is teaching himself to tie his shoes, which is super cool. Charlie (2), is still currently beating on his door to get out while he should be sleeping, so that's awesome. He is pretty cute and funny. They are all happy & healthy, so we are truly blessed.
I got my sewing machine that I got 3 years ago out of the box. For some reason it is very intimidating for me and I haven't had the guts to plug it in. One day soon I hope to overcome that fear so I can make a bunch of awesome shit.
I am getting ready to start a letter/list to my boss to ask for a raise. I mean, I do a bunch of stuff for him, am totally trustworthy & work my ass off, so I should get it. Problem is, he puts his faith in all the wrong people & takes advantage of the good people, so I guess I'll update on that when it goes down.
Without going into too much detail, ("long story short"), I have learned in the past few months that of you feel uncomfortable going to a get-together because you may have negative feelings towards someone there or may not want to go, don't force yourself. You do not owe anyone more than you owe yourself happiness.
Also, I've learned although it is extremely hard to do, in certain situations you must not give in to people who try to get a rise out of you. Just reply when you have to and be fake nice to get the job done. In the end you will end up looking professional and nice instead of looking like a psycho bitch. And they will always dig their own grave. And end up looking like a dick.
Side note: 10 minutes later & ChArlie is still knocking on the door.
That's enough updates for now. I guess I will start my formal request for a raise.
Stay tuned for more amazing adventures!!!
Love, Sarah

Still here!
Hey! Yes, I'm still alive & I still suck at blogging! Anyways, will try to update more often. From my phone, so please excuse any auto-corrects. I now have 3 kids-yes, THREE! All boys. And....we're done! (Pending Jess sr's vasectomy). Charlie is the newest & is 7 mths old. He is a joy :)
I now work at Key Exteriors as the office manager. Plenty of time with my family as Jess sr works days at a factory. We are loving it. First time in 10 yrs we've had weekends off together. I'd say we earned it!
Jack is at football practice right now. He likes it, but it's just conditioning right now, so we'll see.
Jess jr is coloring. He's cute!
I am trying to work out more. Need to lose 20 lbs to be happy with my weight. Or just have a flat, toned belly-that'd be cool too! My boss caught me doing squats today while waiting for my lunch to cook; he asked me if I was ok, I must've looked like I was in pain or something!
I am reading more now that I have a little more time. Right now I'm reading a pretty good (so far) fiction book. I'll have to get back to you on what it's called as I can't remember right now. Reading is relaxing, yet time consuming. Hopefully I can read more this year. My goal is to finish at least one book this year. (Pathetic, I know)!
We go to church too. It's cool and the kids really like it.
Anyways, there's your update (MOM)! and I will try to be more diligent.
Also, I will try to not be so random & make my blogs about something in particular. Still have to find my niche. After all, it's a blog, not a public diary!
Peace out!

2 posts in one day?! Cray. Cray.
I have a question for anyone willing to entertain it.
What do girls talk about? Like, if I'm trying to branch out & I'm gonna hang with this girl from my work. I don't know muh about her so I imagine most of the conversation will be "getting to know you" type stuff but I haven't made a new friend in awhile & I feel like I'm going on a date!
Some may think I'm over analyzing this, but I'd like to have a friend at work that I can hang out with outside of work & all the people i would've hung out wih have been men so far & I'm married so I can't hang out with them a the time. She has a kid too & is really chill so I hope she's as cool as I think!
Back to the matter at hand, please help. Any advice is appreciated. I just haven't done this in a long time!!!
Thanks!
Love, sarah
Happy New Year!
Hey! I'm still alive! I just totally suck at blogging! Updates:
Work: still an hourly manager at Coventry Applebee's & loving it. I start back of the house management training next week so I'm pretty excited. I love all the people there more than I ever would've imagined & they are truly like another family to me.
Jess sr: got a promotion!!! He's now an assistant general manager at the coliseum store & he is very good at his job! We are super blessed for the opportunity for him to be under his new GM & for his chance to advance:)
Jack: is in kindergarden! He loves to read & learn. He also loves video games. He wants to be an artistic scientist who teaches people. He draws everyday & we do lots of experiments. He teaches Jess jr a lot of new things & is still the best big brother! Jack will be 6 in a few weeks! Holy moly!
Jess jr: is one yr & 3 mths. He is a bundle of joy! He walks & tries to talk. He's into everything! He loves to dance & eat & play with his brother. Aside from mama, dada, & jack his first word was "buckle". He likes to buckle up in his car seat as we sing the "buckle up" song:)
Christmas was good. Kids had "he best christmas ever!" & Jess sr & I got awesome surf & to spend fun time wih our families. I made a lot of the gifts this year. Purses for the nieces, wallets for the nephews, a bank for Drew. I had a lot of fun crafting & will continue to craft as much as I can. I did get a sewing machine for Christmas (thanks mom & dad!) & as soon as I get it out & figure out how to use it I will craft a lot! I am currently working on crocheting a camo (huge) blanket for jack. Hopefully it'll get done this year!
New year's resolutions are for chumps but I'm gonna try to eat healthy & exercise. Play with my kids more. Go to sleep earlier so I can enjoy more of my days. I want to quit smoking but that is a process:)
We've had a lot of trials in 2012...I have to say 2013 has to be better for lack of room to go worse, but Everytime my friends & family have helped us through. Thanks to all of you that have been there. I appreciate you a. Still working out all the kinks & this year already has some hills for us to climb. Anytime I think or say something negative about my very blessed life jack simply reminds me, "Momma, it doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is family & love." Oh, from the mound of babes.
In closing, thanks for reading & also...I am super stoked for this weekend because my bestest friend in the world is coming to visit!!! My cousin kristy & my aunt sue & Colby, kristy's son is coming! One more day of work and then we're chillin' together. YAY! Wishing them safe travels!
Stay tuned for more exciting adventures!!!

Not having Internet really hinders blogging
Hello! Oh my goodness, it's been awhile! SO much has happened! Where do I begin?!
Work-I got fired from Everdry In October 2010. Kind of a surprise, but also a huge relief:) I got a serving job the same week at Applebee's & around Feb 2011 I started cooking & bartending too. Lots of fun & awesome people. I was finally happy again & starting to act like my old self! Which I know my loved ones appreciated! In Feb of this year I was notified of an opportunity to move up & I took it. I now am a front of the house manager at Coventry Applebee's. It was a huge change as I loved working at my old store & the people, but come to find out I love the people at Coventry too!
Jack-jack is 5 yrs old now! Holy crap, we're getting old! He is in pre-k at Whitney Young 1/2 days & will be there next year for kindergarden full days. He's keeping the same teachers so that's cool. They tell us he's a higher level thinker & super inquisitive. He can sound out letters & reads some words. He actually has been reading a lot more lately which is pretty awesome. He's realizing when you can read a whole new world opens up!
Baby-I got pregnant in Feb 2011 & we had a beautiful baby boy on October 15, 2012 named Jess Jr!
He is now 6 1/2 mths old & amazing! Jack is the best big brother ever! Jess jr really makes our family feel complete!(not to say we won't have more kids, but the feeling in our family is one that we are def where we all need to be)!
Dogs-we decided to get rid of our dogs. Yes, all of them:( when I was pregnant they drove me crazy & I just couldn't imagine staying sane & being able to give my children, husband & dogs the love & attention they needed . We went through Perfect Paws adoption agency for pets. They first went to foster homes to be neutered & trained. Then they were put up )For adoption online. I followed all their prOgress & they all got adopted. We miss them dearly but know they are all loved & well taken care of as well as ourselves. We are all also still same which is nice. It is more peaceful around here:)
There's so much more that's happened but I'll save that for another time! Keep reading! Now that I have a smart phone I will def post more! Also trying to change privacy settings to make a bit more public.
Stay tuned for more amazing adventures!
Love,
Satah

UpDaTeS!
Not pregnant yet...:( Still working on it though! Although, I did just sign up for a ridiculous amount of class hours in the fall plus working 40 hours a week, so maybe it's good that we aren't!! I would wait until after I finish school but then Jack would be like 10! Better to do school now is what I'm told than to have to miss Jack's activities in a few years when he's in them.
Anyways...I have a test and a paper due this week so don't ask me why I"m wasting my time writing this!!! (Procrastination...I think I get it from my mother!) I wish I could pay my bills and go to school without having to work. That would be great. Still working that one out though!
We finally decided we will be joining my parents and my sister and family on the trip to Maine this summer. I'm pretty excited although I did find out that ALL of my aunts and uncles will be there at the same time so...it's gonna be crazy! Also we're in cabins RIGHT by the canyon so that makes me a little nervous taking Jack, but it'll be alright. Just have to watch him EVERY SECOND! (thanks mom and dad!) I'm still happy we'll get family time with everyone. And we've never vacationed with the Hakels before, so that'll be fun too!
Nothing else really going on except I'm trying to study and write papers to wrap up the semester in about a month! Then it's break time until impending doom August 23rd! I'll have to have an incredibly exciting summer to make up for my lack of life starting in August!
I'll keep y'all updated!

Taking a break in Eng W131
Sitting in English class. We just did an evaluation for our teacher which is weird seeing as how it is only halfway through the semester. I have nothing bad to say though because I have an A! I just got a B on my second Anthropology test, so I'll have to focus on that more. English is super easy though so that's awesome!!
Two weeks ago, Jess's friend got shot and killed because of a bar fight. Jess had known him since forever. He didn't have a gun and was talking crap and the guy who was fighting with him did have a gun. I hope that guy gets life in prison. Still praying for Wade Reader's friends and family as well as Krysta and her family.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all that are struggling with losing a loved one.
On a happier note,we've gotten to go to a few Komets hockey games lately..pretty cool. Our team is really good actually. They've won every game we've gone to and we've also gotten to witness a few really good fights! I can't wait until the Tin Caps baseball starts again. That's always so much fun and now Jess has Sundays off so maybe he can join Jack and I at more games!!!
Well, about to start class again. Thanks for reasing and stay tuned for more AmAzInG aDvEnTuReS form my life!!! (I know, it's so exciting, right?!)

Sad:(
I am sad because my best friend's mom just passed away. Not only does this suck for her and her family but I've known her mom for 12 years, so it sucks for me too. I may have to take her some wine to drown her sorrows with...I have no other way to make her feel better. This feels like a dream. Like it's not even real.
Please pray for her and her family. This has to be a horribly difficult time for them.
I wish I could make them feel better/happier. I am praying for them as well.
Thanks,
Sarah

Not really an update I guess
School, Work, Husband, Kid....don't know how I do it when I stop and think....so I don't normally.
I have been very busy lately so I haven't had a lot of time to type...and we don't have the internet at home either so I have to find time at school or on lunch at work. Still don't have a computer at work so I would have to find a computer to use too. Lots of extra energy goes into blogging for me!
I am so excited for all the pregnant people I know. It must be my age, but it seems like I always know so many pregnant people!!! I am not one of them...yet!:)
Just wanted to say hi really...
And...I love my life! Never to busy for enjoying what you're doing!
Stay tuned....

Happy (belated) New Year!
Hello all! Happy New Year!
Not much going on lately...lots of changes for the new year at work, but that's about it. Jack is turning 3 this Wednesday!! Oh my goodness, how time flies! I am excited to have friends and family at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate. It should be fun. Right now, Jack is recovering from broncitus (sp?) and he has a really bad ear infection. The doctor said it was the worst she had seen in years and if an adult had it they would be complaining non-stop. Jack never complains but has a little that the inside of his ear hurts. I am very blessed to have such a tough child.
Jess and I are headed to Detroit tomorrow for the weekend for my annual conference for work. It's a "work hard" year, so we have to do lots of work stuff but Jess is looking forward to getting a lot of writing done and I am looking forward to spending a lot of alone time with Jess!!
Oh yeah, I am in 2 college courses this semester. Anthropology and English. They are very interesting and lots of fun. I like both classes a lot. I think I am changing my major back to Speech Language Pathology (but don't quote me on that)! I really enjoy being in school and hope to attend 4 classes a semester starting in the fall. I view school as my alone time every week. It keeps me sane and is my thing that doesn't involve anyone but myself!
I have also started attending a Zumba class every week and I love it! Zumba is an exercise class that is aerobics and salsa-y dancing all in one. It really works for my schedule and fitness! I think I may start going more often!
Jess just got switched over to the Maysville store and is opening so we get nights off together! Yay! For so long I have wanted him to be at home with us at night...it is quite different and will definitely take some adjusting, but it will be great! I didn't realize how much of a homebody I was until Jess started making all these plans with people on week nights. I do not like that at all, but am willing to compromise I guess. That's what marriage is all about!!!
That's about it for now I guess. I'll keep y'all updated!
Stay tuned for more AmAzInG aDvEnTuReS!!!

Updates
Once again, I have been told to update my blog...so, Mom, this one's for you!!!
Hmm...where do I start? Well, I am working this week and was just told that since the boss isn't here, I am the boss and not to be afraid to make changes or step on people's toes! It's a good thing seeing as how I want to move up in the company & I feel like I am getting a chance to shine right now. Although now I have to come up with ways to be more effective within a week! It's ok, I like challenges!!!
Christmas was wonderful at the Voirol household. This was the first year Jess & I actually got each other gifts, so that was fun. I got him a bunch of boxers (among other things) which he laughed at and said was "such a Dad gift". Jack said he liked his presents and LOVES Christmas, so I think he's happy. He's currently obsessed with his new Bumblebee arm, his automatic Nerf guns and his Monster truck. The other day when we got home he said he had missed his Bumblebee arm! It was so cute!
Christmas at the In-laws and my parents' house was also good. Lots of good presents and especially good company!!! I love spending time with the family!!!
Jack and I went to Brownstown on Saturday with my parents to visit my grandparents. They seemed to be doing well, except I'm not sure they knew Friday was Christmas!! I guess it's just another day for some! Visiting with them was great and Jack was SUPER good at their house and at the 2 restaurants we went to that day, so I was a happy camper! (Bribery works wonders with small children!)
My brother turned 27 today! I feel like we're all getting so old!! I still don't feel like I'm 25!! More like 21....minus the partying! I am glad that he is fairly untouched from his accident a couple weeks ago (considering it could've been MUCH worse). It's good to have him around. Meddling in his personal life is also fun for me!
Tomorrow we are having another Voirol Christmas at our house just for fun. A few more presents (I still have to get!) and fun times with our cousin, Allen. We like to stretch the holiday out for as long as possible!!!
I'll try to blog more often, but as you all know, life gets in the way!!!
For now, those are my AmAzInG aDvEnTuReS!!!
Stay tuned & Merry Christmas!!!

My Hangover Cure
For those who have a hangover at work....(the 2 people that I know read this probably never have a hangover at work, but just in case....):
Here's what I do, actually I did it today becaues I was severely hungover from having fun last night!
~Even though you won't want to get up..DO IT! If you don't, you will just end up laying in bed worrying about work and feeling crappy all day.
~Immediately down atleast 1 glass of water and (only) 2 excedrin (or whatever you take) extra strength.
~Take a shower. You won't want to, but trust me, it helps a lot. Cold showers are better than hot, but whatever strikes your fancy. If you fail to shower, you will reek like you were out drinking all night and even though you were, you DO NOT want your boss and co-workers to know.
~Brush you teeth, but if you're feeling nauseaus (sp?) abstain from brushing your tongue (that is, if you normally brush it). Your gag reflex is not ready for that so early in the day after such a night!
~Take the time to get ready for work like you do every other day. If you do not take this time, it will be noticed and your cover will be blown.
~If you do not feel ANY better or perky by now, when you get to work (as long as all the steps have been taken), tell everyone you simply do not feel good. This works as a cover in case later in the day you are caught with your head on your desk or you end up puking.
~Drink another glass/bottle of water when you arrive at work.
~After said glass/bottle, drink whatever you choose (coffee, pop, etc...)
~At lunch, if you tan or aren't against tanning, go. This always helps me feel better. I feel as though I sweat out some more alcohol & you can nap while getting nice & bronzed!!! (Make sure you bring deodorant, lotion, etc...so you don't smell sweaty when you get back to work).
~For lunch, eat whatever you can stomach, but make sure it's some sort of fast food. The greasier the better and by lunchtime you should be able to stomach something. I like a Subway sub and cherry coke or a nice double cheeseburger meal with a diet coke. (I ate the latter today for lunch and I feel great!)
~after you wat lunch and finish whatever your drink was for lunch, drink more water.
~By now you should feel somewhat normal & probably just a bit tired. If you don't, you probably already gave up and went home sick.
~Finish your work day staying hydrated and always lean on the not feeling good thing.
~After work, go home and chill out. Drink water. Go to bed early. And next time you want to drink or go out on a night when you have to work the next morning, remember today and how crappy you felt. It'll stop you for atleast a week from doing it again!
Hope this helped!

What would it cost to make the world a better place?
Question:
When you are stuck in a work environment with a negative person who is not ever nice to anyone in the workplace and you must work with this person to get the job done, what do you do?
In my life, I typically avoid negative people. The problem is: I have to work with a negative person on a daily basis to get my job done accurately. So, what do I do? I do not know the answer to this question. I have been avoiding this person unless I have to work with them or ask them a question. Just today I asked him a question and he immediately snapped at me because he was working on something. Ok, we were on an intercom from my office to his office from which we cannot see each other, so how am I supposed to know he is working on something he cannot get away from at that moment? If he had not snapped at me and just told me he was busy please give him a minute, I would have been happy to comply. Alas, he did not, he just snapped at me for bugging him when in fact I had a question about the exact thing he happened to be working on at the time. hmmm...
I always reply to his negativity with positivity because I believe it is contagious. I am coming to the end of my rope however of being nice and cordial with him because he pisses me off every time I speak with him!
I sit here and bitch and moan about it and say "I won't put up with it" and yet I am also sitting here thinking, "yes, I will. I will put up with it to get the job done & I am going to continue to be cordial and yes, even positive because that is who I am."
I guess I just don't understand why some people are so negative all the time. Ok, so you hate your life or current life situation or maybe even your job. 1: Is this MY fault? 2: If you don't like your current situation; CHANGE IT!
Easier said than done, I know, but this is what I struggle with on a daily basis whether it be about some big issue in my life or something small like always having a dirty house. I, along with all other people in the universe deal with many uncomfortable, not-so-perfect situations in our lives on a daily basis. Wouldn't the world be such a better place if we could all be nice to one another? I think it would. And what would it hurt?...NOTHING! And what would it cost?... NOTHING!
Maybe I am delusional, but I truely believe everyone could be nice to each other and more understanding and we could all live in a better world! Oh well, I can't change everyone, so I guess I'll just work on myself!!
Thanks for reading!

My extra "senses"
When did I lose my sense of "I am bound for greatness" and how did I get it back? This is the question that has been distracting me all day.
My sense that I am bound for greatness (in one way or the other) has always been with me. Not taught to me necessarily or ingrained in me by anyone. Just there. Identical to the sense that I have always had that there is a God and He is worth worshiping and He does everything for a reason. I call these "senses" because they are to me. They are just like my sense of touch, taste, etc..they are a part of me.
These two things I have known ever sense I can remember and probably before that. But somewhere along the way, I lost the "I am bound for greatness" sense for awhile. I believe it all started right before I got pregnant. At that point, I was only living life to have fun for the moment and get drunk. Then I got pregnant and had my son, Jack. Best thing by far that has ever happened to me. After Jack's birth, I started to live my life for him. But if you think about it, part of "living your life for your child" is so you don't feel like a failure. So really, I was still only living my life for me. After Jack, I got a new job and a new close friend who is very self-absorbed. No offense, I love her to death, but she is. I started to live this way as well. Then came the wedding. Obviously, a wedding is one of the premiere self-absorbed events in a woman's life. My life became more and more about me and my wants than anyone else's.
How did I get it back?....that's a tougher question to answer. Throughout the past 5 years I have had a sense I need to help people and do great things, but I never really cared, I guess. That's all I can figure out. All of a sudden, I started to hear dozens of people say, "Live your dreams" & "Life is so short". I'm sure people didn't just start saying this more often, God must have tuned me in so I could actually hear it. I need to live my life for others. That is what I am here for. Whether it be making people happy through some sort of entertainment (acting, film-making, writing) or volunteering or working for a non-profit, this is why I'm here.
Of course I want Jack to have a very wonderful and successful life. But how much better could his life be if he is led by me to love & trust in God and help others with your talents & abilities. I believe this is the best way to raise your children. (Just my opinion).
As I've said before, I haven't even come close to working out the details, but just knowing these facts (to me they are fact) gives one a certain piece of mind. It does me anyways!
I just feel compelled to tell others. Even if you aren't exactly where you want to be in life right now, it doesn't mean you can't get there. I have often felt "stuck" in my current situation, but if you are passionate about something, never give up. If you feel compelled to do something or make a statement, do it or say it without worrying about what others may say or think.
That's all for now.
Just a few "words of wisdom" from a not-so-wise gal!!

life is too short, live your dreams
So....Go Colts! They are playing the dolphins tonight, so I think they should win! I can't watch the game though because I am too far behind in my choreography for Annie! (i.e. haven't started it yet & am starting to teach it on Saturday!)
Oh, I have been thinking way too much lately!! In the past 3 days I have heard many people say "life is too short, live your dreams" whether it was on tv, radio or in person. So, I have been thinking, "what are my dreams?" I've only come up with one conclusion, that being, I want to change the world. I know, sounds like a pretty big order! All my life I have felt I had some sort of big thing planned for me and I would change the world, and yet, here I am sitting in Fort Wayne, IN not doing what I love or like to do! Definitely not affecting the world in any big way. So, I spoke with Jess and we have devised a 'rough-draft' of a plan to do what we want to do. It involves a big move to a much larger city (not sure which one yet) and a leap off a bridge into an unknown abyss! Meaning, we would have no "careers" set up in that city and would have jobs while following our dreams. I'm still not sure even what genre my big part in the world will be.. acting, volunteering, etc...but I don't see it happening here where I am today.
Wherever and whatever I end up doing, I am bound for greatness, I do know that. But sometimes you can't wait for greatness to find you, you must seek it and find it yourself. I hope whenever it happens the world is ready for me! It's gonna be great!!

Are you ready for some football?!
As we all know (or should know by now), the glorious football season is upon us!
I am a fan of football and really enjoy watching it although I do not know all the players names on all of my teams or the coaches names or the plays. I just enjoy it when my team wins! I do know a bit because I was a cheerleader in high school, so I had to know a little bit!
Just for the record, my teams are:
Colts(Indiana born & raised)
Packers (just love them)
New England Patriots (Tom Brady)
New York Giants (for Eli, whom I have followed since his college years)
Cowboys (always wanted to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader!)
I know these teams don't "jive" with one another or whatever, I have been told that several times by my husband, but they are my teams! And this is the order of them also. Just in case they ever play one another.
I am trying to learn more and more each week about this beloved game and I even participated in a no rules game of flag football this weekend with the family. A game I hope turns into a weekly ritual! I think rules may need to be set in place and a parent may need to referee for the sake of our relationships though! My sister and I get pretty hardcore when competing against one another!
Have to say, WAR EAGLE! Auburn U won this weekend and good job Rodgers and the rest of the Packers! (Or thank you to Jay Cutler of the Bears!)
If I learn anything interesting/new, I'll be around all season to share with you!!
Stay tuned for more Amazing Adventures!!!

The Sun'll Come Out-Tomorrow!
Just finished my reconstruction of my departments payroll. I was going to ask for a raise today but my boss decided not to come in. It'll have to wait until Monday!
I am so totally stoked for the weekend! Not because I have big plans, but I just am so tired of work right now I could throw up. It is getting more and more stressful by the day!
Tonight, Jack & I are going for a walk and taking his dog, Chuck with us. That should be exciting! Yesterday he walked 5 whole blocks before sitting down and stating that "Walking is hard Momma." Also, last night, he put on one of Jess's shirts and asked me to button it up. He then told me he was going to work at Dada's work, Bob Evans. Then he said he was going to be a cook there. Then, he went into the dining room, faced the wall and started to ""cook". It was so damn adorable! I wish I had a video camera!
Did I mention I cannot wait until 5:00?!
I leave work early today to attend and help with the call backs for Memorial Park's 'Annie'. I'm pretty excited! I am doing the choreography for said production and I get to help cast it! It is a very nice "break" from my normal routine and I get to leave work early for it! YAY!
I can't believe September is almost half over! My goodness, where does the time go?! It's so hard to get day to day things done and still have time to enjoy life! Lucky for me, I prioritize and sometimes enjoy life before the day-to-day stuff! You have to do that just to stay energized!
Well, that's all for now folks...Stay tuned for more AmAzInG (or not-so-amazing, but still somewhat interesting) AdVeNtUrEs!!

LiFe Is GoOd!!
I've officially been married for 1 month! Yay! It's awesome and very fun! I am not "officially" Mrs. Voirol yet because the social security office is open 8-4:30 on weekdays and that's when I work:( I'll have to be "sick" one day just to change my name! You know you have to send your marriage license to change your passport?! Scary! You can't use a copy! I hated when I had to send my birth certificate to get my passport originally. And now I can't find my birth certificate! FYI-if you have a lockbox, I suggest you actually USE it!
We have decided to hold off on the baby making for a couple-few more years. We have a lot we want to do and accomplish before we have another baby. We'd like to save up more money & I;d like to be atleast a done with my sophmore year in college. Maybe even more! We are quite content with our family the way it is now (even though we could stand to get rid of a dog or two!)
I am starting back at college in the spring part-time. This is because I have to pay for these 2 classes and I will once again be eligible for financial aid through IPFW. Also, I will still be working and I still have Jack so, I think 2 will be enough! After that, the plan is to get financial aid and tough out a fulltime work schedule with 12 credit hours for atleast a year. Then I will probably cosider just going to school and being a mom for awhile. Jess and I have gotten used to a lifestyle that we're not quite ready to quit yet! (i.e. having extra money to spend on fun stuff and not having to worry about the bills!) We will start to live more on a budget though so the transition will be easier whenever we need to go down to one income.
I am also hoping to fix up our house so we are happy with it, then sell it or rent it and get a bigger one. I am getting quite handy around my home! Labor day weekend I plan to remove a sink/cabinet and install a new one so, if anyone wants to come over, let me know! I will provide food and alcohol if you want!!
These are the things we want to accomplish before we have another child. We are in the process of sharing with one another our 5 year plans and fitting them together to make it work! Jess of course, wants to focus on his book more and I am all for that! The sooner he and Allen get published the sooner he can just stay at home with Jack and write! Yay!
I am so happy to be where I am in life and to have the wonderful friends and family I do to support me and help me through my fabulous life!!

Trying
To me, the word "trying/try" is negative. Here's why...
When someone tells me they're trying to do something, I don't believe they're even making an effort. Example: If I say I am trying to quit smoking. ..No, I'm not. I am working on quitting smoking. In the second statement, I have stated I am taking steps to do that action. I understand "trying" could be seen the same way, but think about it. Whenever you say you're trying to do something, how often does it really get done?
So, I am working on quitting smoking. I'm not going to try, I am doing it.
That's all!!
